CLOUD HURTS INFOR REVENUE

Charles Phillips, InforThe transition to the cloud held down Infor's results for the third quarter ended January 31. But that's a short-term result as the company expects a longer-term return. The company boosted net income to $51.3 million for the most recently ended period, up 66.5 percent from $31.9 million, helped along by $40.8 million in interest income this year, compared to $23.3 million a year earlier, spurred by currency changes.

SAGE NAMES PAYMENTS CEO

Paul Bridgewater, SageSage North America has named Paul Bridgewater as CEO of Sage Payment Solutions. And with his naming we are seeing an elevation of certain operating areas because the previous head of payments, Greg Hammermaster in August was president, not CEO and Bridgewater reports to North American CEO Pascal Houillon. Similarly, Jim Emerick joins in the newly created position of EVP of customer support for this continent.

ARXIS BUILDS STAFF

arxisArxis Technology, a software reseller based in Simi Valley, Calif., has hired six employees to support its growth. That brings the staff to about 40. Four consultants were added to the implementation team and two employees joined the marketing and sales team. Consultants include Kevin Curren, who will be provide implementation and development support for Sage 500 ERP projects, and Rafael Mestre, who will focus on ERP implementations in the manufacturing and supply chain industries.
