SAGE VET TAKE NEW JOB

Brendan Flattery, UtilitywiseBrendan Flattery, who left the Sage Group last month after 13 years with the British Company, has taken the position of CEO with Utilitywise. Flattery started with Sage as managing director of the Accountants Division in October 2003. He was the CEO of Sage U.K. and Ireland, obviously a pretty significant geography for the company, from January 2011 from February 2015.

SAGE LIVE NFP DEBUTS

Libby Koehn, SageSage has launched Sage Live Not-for-Profit. Built on the Salesforce App Cloud, NFP is the first industry-specific package for Live. The new version of Live offers financial reporting and fund management. Sage said that a large portion of the nonprofit organizations who are members of the Sage Foundation will be eligible for discounted licenses.

RANDOM THOUGHTS: WORF

Actor Michael Dorn as WorfI just overdrafted my secret Wells Fargo account. But that's okay, I was able to cover the difference with another account I didn't know I had. But the bank, accused of systematically setting up accounts without customers' knowledge, went too far when it set up millions of piggy banks for children without their knowing it. Meanwhile, Wells Fargo has agreed to stop using the internal slogan, "A penny saved is three cents in fees".
