Infor is getting a big infusion as Koch Equity Development has agreed to invest more than $2 billion in the software company. In its press release, Infor said, "The investment will provide Infor access to additional growth capital to accelerate innovation, expand distribution, and continue disrupting the enterprise applications industry."

Alliance Solutions Group has been selected as Sage's Business Partner of the Year. The Sarasota, Fla.-based reseller has been in the top ranks of the company's awards before and carries the vendor's construction software. Sage also named New York City VAR, Net@Work as its No. 2 partner, and Morristown, N.J.-based Accordant, another construction software dealer, as No. 3.

SWK Technologies turned in a solid performance for its third quarter ended September 30. The numbers were reported this week by the reseller's parent, SilverSun Technologies, but SWK is the only parent's only operating business. Net income hit $2.8 million in the most recently ended period, up sharply from $16,464 a year earlier, bumped up by a $2.3-million tax benefit.
