KeyedIn Solutions will integrate its Manufacturing Cloud ERP with the Sage Live accounting system. Once again, Sage shows its relatively newfound willingness to partner with other companies, in particular to move Live along. KeyedIn markets both the manufacturing product and KeyedIn Projects for project accounting. The new alliance is a pretty simple formula—Sage Live with its emphasis on mobile access for the accounting and KeyedIn for the manufacturing end.

Jeff Roth, CEO of SWK Technologies, has resigned his position with the Livingston, N.J.-based reseller. Roth has been with the organization since March 2002. His duties are being handled by Mark Meller, chairman of SWK's parent, publicly held SilverSun Technologies. Meller wished Roth well and said that all other senior leaders remain in place. He emphasized that he will serve as CEO. "This is not an interim position," Meller said. Roth is, as they say, pursuing other interests.

No one should be surprised that Bob Scott's Top 100 VARs shows an increasing number of resellers carrying cloud products for the 2016 class. There were 50 in 2015 and that has jumped to 60 this year. If you accept the definition that hosted applications are not true cloud applications that means more companies are carrying products other than the Microsoft Dynamics lines or any of Sage's various products since those companies are still in the hosted segment.
