SAGE LIVE GOES TO IOS
- Friday, 12 February 2016
A version of Sage Live for the Apple iOS platform has been announced by Sage and Apple. And outside of the lot of nice quotes, the press release about this topic was lacking in a lot of detail. The more interesting statement is Sage Live will be sold through the Apple ecosystem. VARS are already wondering if there is any money they can make with Live. If Sage begins broadening distribution a lot, it is hard to see what future resellers might have. One of the real questions to be answered is the overall Sage product strategy.
ENVISION—DUD ON ARRIVAL?
- Wednesday, 10 February 2016
First the good news: the parties are on at Microsoft's new Envision conference in early April in New Orleans. If you can't party in the Big Easy, why attend? Two major regular events of Microsoft's Convergence and Worldwide Partner Conference are planned—Rock N' Rave and the Randy and Andy Party. Envision will be held April 4-6 and that's nine weeks away and hmm, no speakers have been announced other than executives from Microsoft. Reports are there are no Dynamics break-out sessions planned and the agenda so far simply shows there will be breakouts in three categories: Business trends and themes; Industry trends; and Leadership in key business roles.
