PRODWARE EARNINGS SLUMP

ProdwareThe net result for the ProdWare Group, a Dynamics and Sage reseller based in France dropped to about $6 million for 2014, down 32 percent from the 2013 total. The company this month attributed the decrease to its efforts to restructure its German and Benelux operations and align them with the company business model. "The temporary decrease in our net profitability, related to the realignment efforts of our German and Benelux subsidiaries toward our model, is to be viewed in the light of continued growth of our other activities and our strategic activities such as SaaS," the company said in prepared comments.

UNIT4 REBRANDS CODA, AGRESSO

Jose Duarte, Unit4Unit4's two ERP lines, Coda and Agresso, have been brought together under a new brand reflecting the parent company's name. Coda has been renamed Unit4 Financials with Agresso now falling under the Unit4 Business World moniker as the Netherlands-based company introduced major new updates to its products. Financials sports a new user interface and experience.The company said the Flexi-fields technology enables users to combine business data with any contextual information from inside or outside the system, such as pipeline data or customer retention information.

VETTER HEADING XERO PROGRAM

Amy Vetter, XeroXero has named Amy Vetter as its first Head of Accounting in the United States. Vetter's new job was announced in a press release that is part of an upsurge in announcements by the New Zealand-based cloud accounting software company. In the first three months of 2014, Xero issued 10 releases. So far it 2015, 17 have been emitted and there's a few more shopping days left. Maybe this is the trumpet fanfare before moving into the IPO process. But back to Vetter, whose job is not about heading an accounting department.
