Fred Studer, Financialforce Financialforce has named Fred Studer, who was a long-time Microsoft employee and then head of NetSuite's marketing, as its first chief marketing officer. His hiring comes on the heels of the naming of Tod Nielsen as CEO. FinancialForce says the appointment follows a year in which it grew by 40 percent to a $100-million annual run rate.

Studer was most recently CMO of Gigamon from April 2016 until taking the new job. He was CMO of NetSuite from December 2014 through December 2015 when he was forced out. Before that, he worked at Microsoft from September 2007 through December 2014 where he was GM of the Dynamics operations from May 2011 through his departure. He had a career at Oracle from January 1996 through December 1998 with a two-year stint at J.D. Edwards before returning to Oracle from December 2001 through September 2007.
