SAGE INTACCT GOES DOWN UNDER Featured

Sage Intacct has been introduced in Australia. It is the first step of taking the cloud product global with entry into the United Kingdom expected by the end of 2019, according to a product manager.

“We have a major theme of going global,” Sandi Main, Intacct’s director of product marketing said this week. “There are additional countries being evaluated.”  While the company was also promoting the introduced 2019 release 3, the global theme and the increasing evidence of the cloud software company was made more evidence. Intacct, which occupied five floors of an office building in San Jose, Calif., this month added a sixth floor, bringing its HQ office to 118,000 sq. ft. It also now has a few non-Intacct Sage personnel occupying space. Intacct started with eight resellers in Australia with the company looking for more. As to Release 3, compliance with ASC 606 is an important factor with onboard performance obligations to satisfy ASC 606 retrospective reporting, along with the ability to manage billable project expenses to meet the standard, included in the release. The international move also meant bulking up on bank feeds with Sage supporting connection with more than 10,000 financial institutions. The new scale has also meant introducing “a lot core accounting capabilities, and we extended feeds and payment capabilities,” according to Main. There are also more reporting capabilities, performance and scale.” The Intacct budget wizard was also enhanced to reduce the number of clicks needed by users. That means the system now automatically populate your new budget with budget or actuals. Users can also drag and drop to structure new budgets by dimensions. Drag and drop can also be used to set up budget structures by dimension first.
