ECI Software Solutions, which owns the Macola line, has acquired ThermoGrid and Shoptech Industrial Software. Terms were not disclosed for the deals, which were announced this week.

Cloud-based ThermoGrid, which will become part of ECI’s Field Service division, is designed to help a variety of service companies manage functions such as scheduling, dispatching, invoicing, client history and inventory management. ECI said the purchase will help it reach residential service companies, including HVAC, electrical and plumbing, which it has not previously served. Shoptech, based in Glastonbury, Conn., offers ERP software for job shops and made-to-order manufacturers, will be part of ECI’s Manufacturing division. The acquisition is expected to close in the fourth quarter. Shoptech’s product lines are E2 Shop Systems for job shops an make-to-order manufacturers. The E2 Manufacturing System is marketed to repetitive and discrete manufacturers.
