ORACLE CLEARED OF DISCRIMINATION CHARGE Featured

A Department Labor Administration Law Judge has ended a four-year discrimination case against Oracle. Judge Richard Clark found no evidence of discrimination against women, Asians and African-Americans.

The case was brought by the Labor Department’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs which alleged there was pay discrimination against female employees in the Product Development, Information Technology, and Support or against Asian and African American employees in the Product Development. The judge found no evidence of a policy or practice of discrimination and determined Oracle also did not use discriminatory policies in job assignment and job classification and that it did not steer different groups to different jobs at its headquarters. In a prepared statement, Joyce Westerdahl, Oracle’s EVP for Human Resources, “Oracle is run with equality and opportunity for all of our employees.”
