HARRIS DEFINES SAGE BUSINESS CLOUD Featured

Sage's chief technology officer Aaron Harris has given the most thorough definitions to date of the Sage Business Cloud. Harris provided the description at the recent Sage Intacct Advantage Virtual conference.

The view is one of an all-encompassing business and technology platform utilizing Sage technology. Previously, the Sage Cloud has seemed to be little more than a name over Sage's true cloud and sort-of cloud products.  “Our first task is to create a unique digital identity for every individual and every organization that interacts within a business ecosystem,” Harris said. This mean connecting parties such as accountants, banks and regulatory agencies, vendors and customers. “It allows us to create a user experience that spans products,  that spans technologies and tools and that work on any of these relationships,”  Harris continued. Artificial intelligence will be applied across the network and used document capture to illustrate how that will work. Having a large number of users will enable the system to more easily learn to recognize documents. “When you use AI across millions of people on a network, you have that many more documents you can learn from,” Harris said. Overall, Harris said the Sage Business Cloud is a place where “It’s easy to connect collaborate and do business. Our goal is to help our customer digitize their businesses.”
