DELTEK PICKS GOVCON HEAD
Deltek has hired Tom Mazich as the new EVP and GM of its GovCon business unit. And for many of our readers, his appointment is probably more important for the fact that he replaces Carolyn Parent, who was forced out earlier this year, along with Richard Lowrey.
Mazich held positions at SAS Institute including VP and GM of Government Operations was most recently president of SAS Federal. He had worked at that company since August 2005. Parent had been one of the most visible execs under CEO Kevin Parker. Both Parent and Lowrey left after being removed as named executives and then left the company in April. Lowrey’s LinkedIn page does not show a new position and Parents’ still has Deltek as her employer.
