EXACT PICKS EDI PARTNER

exact new logoExact has selected 1EDISource to provide its EDI/HQ electronic data interchange system. The EDI company, whose name seems to have been designed to ensure typographical errors, has made available integrations for Exact's JobBoss and Macola ERP packages.
EDI/HQ is described as "an all-encompassing EDI solution that combines the complete data translation and validation, along with data mapping and data management." The system recognizes all EDI standards, enables users to address trading partner variations and lets users apply data from real transactions on the fly. It can process formats such as EDI, XML, delimited and fixed-length, as well as offering direct SQL integration with ODBC Compliant data sources. Last month, the Exact America website had a post of a blog entry entitled "Exact American Emerging from Stealth, Repackaged." Since last year, interim CEO Martijn Janmaat said the company had let its products age, maintenance revenue was dropping and it was in too many countries, I am more inclined to headline it: "Emerging from Blunders." The fact that Exact revived the Macola line in this period says a lot about past decisions. The other problem is while the Exact folks from the Netherlands are very prompt in sending financial news releases, the U.S. crew can't seem to find public relations/marketing personnel that know how to return telephone calls or emails. That will ensure silence.
