SAGE 50 PLANS DETAILED

Shari Willman, SageSage North America has rolled out its plans for its 2013 products of Peachtree and Simply Accounting which both get covered by the name Sage 50. That plan is part of a rebranding of major North American lines to be consistent with European naming conventions as Sage puts the American product under what it calls "a new era for Peachtree."
Simply becomes Sage 50 Canada with its October launch and there are also plans for turning the Simply Accounting Hispanic into Sage 50-Hispanic Bilingual Edition with its 2013 rendition. Peachtree becomes Sage 50-U.S. Edition. Shari Willman, a Sage product manager, gave the company's explanation of the benefits of tying the low-end products to the company name. "When Sage did something, Peachtree did not benefit, because people did not tie us to Sage," she said. Among the major changes in the new version is the inclusion of BusinessCare for all customers and also of Business Intelligence, the former Alchemex. The company is promoting Sage Connected Services, which include email marketing, mobile integration and payments as part of the Sage 50 feature set.
