The way was cleared earlier when Epicor announced that Paul Salsgiver, who had headed retail, no longer met the SEC's requirements as an executive. McCollum takes his place in reporting to CEO Pervez Qureshi. In his new role, McCollum has responsibility for Epicor's retail products, Eagle, Catalyst, Vision and Vista Information Services. Target industries include pharmacies and drug stores, lumber and building materials, lawn and garden centers, sporting goods and the automotive aftermarket. Since February 2009, McCollum had headed his company, True North Strategists, a consulting firm. He was a VP for the Microsoft Dynamics organization from July 2007 through October 2008 and was VP of worldwide MBS Sales Strategy at Microsoft from September 2004 through June 2007. He served as SVP of business solutions at Sage North America from July 2001 through August 2004. Salsgiver had headed retail under Activant, whose management took over operations at Epicor after the two were merged.
