SAP BYD MOVES TO HANA

sapSAP’s Business ByDesign financial application has moved to Hana, the company’s in-memory database platform. It is a system that SAP says provides significant increases in speed over traditional database technology. The company says the system also adds mass maintenance, invoice flexibility and multi-step approval processes for subsidiary and large enterprise integration and compliance processes.

There are additional project capabilities for managing team approvals while subcontract purchases extend project support for professional services teams. What is described as a “deeper sales kit”, includes landed cost and enhanced pricing flexibility improvements, which SAP says is suited for professional services firms, manufacturers and distributors. The product also has additional support for integration and collaboration from product design to delivery with increased cost assignment flexibility, support for SAP Solutions OnDemand Studio, for writing and publishing cloud application extensions and improved open collaborative support, including enhanced Microsoft Office integration and support for Windows Mobile 6.5.
