SOCIAL MEDIA POLL SHOWS FACEBOOK USAGE

Among a series of polling questions published in its Winter issue, the Partner Channel published answers to the following question: "How much time do you spend on Facebook during the average work day?" While it didn't show the number of respondents, the answers are still interesting.
The No. 1 answer was less than 15 minutes, with 32 percent, and No. 2 was "I don't check Facebook during the work day" at 27 percent. That doesn't differentiate between those who don't use Facebook at a work and those whose employers forbid it. The final three categories – “Up to one hour,” “What's Facebook?” and “I keep Facebook open all day”, each drew 14 percent. There must be some rounding since the percentages total at 101. But putting together all the answers that reflect some Facebook usage shows that 60 percent check in at least once daily. I'd put myself in between up to one hour and all day. Sometimes I have two sessions open because I forget I had one already. And sometimes I close out to simply what's open. But I’m closer to leaving it open all day.
