SAGE VARS RECORDING X3 SALES

Sage x3 logoSales of Sage's high-end X3 software may never pour in. But after months of signing up resellers, the company is starting to see results. This week, Datel, a reseller in the United Kingdom, said in a somewhat vaguely worded press release that it had made the first X3 sale, and we're all presuming that means in the British Isles. Meanwhile, Jeff Roth, president of SWK Technologies, based in Livingston, N.J., said his organization closed a deal this week as did Canadian CA-Plus.

A few of those will help Sage North America enrich its margins.  Datel, by the way, does way east of the Atlantic. In 2009, Datel was the Sage 200 Business Partner of the Year and Sage Circle of Excellence Winner, an award for exceptional customer service give by a vote of Sage users. As a reminder, these are merely the sales made by resellers as most of the X3 sales still come from direct sales, although Sage's goal is to change that ratio dramatically.
