BLACKBAUD TO PUT SKY ON AZURE Featured

blackbaud CEO Mike Gianoni Blackbaud has decided to power its Sky platform with Microsoft Azure. The decision is part of a three-point commitment between the nonprofit software vendor and Microsoft, reached shortly after the latter vendor launched its Tech for Social Impact Group.

The agreement calls for deeper integration between Microsoft and Blackbaud products. Investment details are not yet available but the companies plan to share more about the partnership later. Blackbaud also said it will become a Cloud Solution Provider partner for the Microsoft platform, which will simplify the purchase, provisioning and management of Blackbaud and Microsoft cloud offerings. The partners said they will pursue best-in-class nonprofit cloud solutions and will explore the use of the two companies’ respective cloud artificial intelligence. They will also embark on joint sector leadership initiatives to make innovation, research and best practices available to nonprofits.
