SAGE RESTOCKING MIP CHANNEL

Sage Nonprofit Solutions has been recruiting new resellers to carry its nonprofit MIP Fund Accounting since the number has shrunk by about 20 percent over the last five years. The diminution has stemmed from consolidation and acquisition, along with those who have exited the business. I and others have also felt that the MIP channel was a bit neglected by corporate, at least the old regime.
The company has enlisted about five new resellers over the last few months and hopes to add another five this year. Krista Endsley, SVP and general manager of the Austin, Texas-based NFP unit, says Sage is looking for larger resellers and for those with experience in the nonprofit market. Sage is not necessarily trying to get existing Sage VARs who carry other products in the company's line to add MIP.
