SAGE EXECS TAKE PAY HIT

Guy Berruyer, SageCompensation for two top executives declined by double digits for the fiscal year ended September 30 of the Sage Group. Chief executive Guy Berruyer saw his compensation drop by 27 percent while that for CFO Paul Harrison fell by 28 percent. Those declines stemmed from steep decreases in bonuses from those awarded for fiscal 2011.
Berruyer’s bonus declined 68 percent to about $301,000 while Harrison got roughly $99,000, off 82 percent. The only other compensation reported was for David Clayton, director of strategy and corporate development, who left his job midyear. Berruyer’s total compensation was about $1.65 million, Harrison’s about $922,000. The totals are not comparable to reports of compensations for executives of public companies in the United States. The value of share awards are listed separately and not added into the total in the Sage remuneration report.
