This happened in early August, but I'm fairly sure the press release didn’t get posted until this month. In the release, Steve Brueckner, director of business development, said his company has decided to position itself as a payroll and HR supplier with robust accounting functionality, hence the BizNet relationship. BizNet offers an Excel-based financial report writer designed for HR and payroll data. Looking over the press release list, I don't notice any other instance in which the refocusing has been publicly mentioned. Also in early August, Cyma reached an agreement with RedGear Technologies, which owns the TaxWorks professional tax package, to create an accounting package for the RedGear product line. That produced RedGear Accounting, powered by Cyma, which is included with TaxWorks at no charge.
