PRONTO FORMALIZES AMERICAN UNIT

Rob Kirkey, Pronto SoftwarePronto Software has changed its operations in North American and begun growing its staff. The effort had been led  by Terry Leister, who was VP of  Pronto's North American effort from January 2006. Leister says that last year he started Pronto Software, based in Irving, Texas, and the operation began hiring staff in December. His position was taken over in January by Rob Kirkey, who as general manager for Express Information Systems from April 2010 through June 2011.

That company is an Austin, Texas-based reseller that handles Acumatica, Dynamics GP/SL/CRM, Epicor and WennSoft.  He was chief marketing officer from April 2010 through June 2011 for Northwoods Consulting Partners, an HR software developer and services business operating from Dublin, Ohio. The ERP company's product Pronto XI utilizes what is described as built-in intelligence from IBM Cognos 10 in its core offering. The system offers modules to tailor that for areas such as financials, distribution, sales & marketing, and supply chain, manufacturing, and asset and facility management. During its push into North America, Pronto has recruited about six resellers. One of the largest is Canada's BDO Solutions which got the line through last year's acquisition of Business Solutions Alliances and its divisions, PSA and AX-iom ERP. Back in the old days, Kirkey was general manager for Great Plain Software's Australasia operation from 1989 through  2000. Meanwhile, Leister has returned to Australia as general manager for developing markets, with global responsibilities. As a result, "I am no longer living on a plane over the Pacific," he says.
