"We experienced a great run-up in 2013 with a high activity level in some of our operational units, where the utilization of resources in the service business was very high," CEO Thomas Honoré said in a prepared statement. The company attributed the improvement in both the sale of its proprietary software and increased service business to its focus on specific industries and geographies, along with improved risk management. In its last earnings report, the company had noted a decline in the proportion of non-Columbus software – which would include Dynamics – in its revenue.

Dynamics reseller Columbus has increased its projected EBITDA by 16.7 percent for 2013. The Copenhagen, Denmark-based company made the forecast based on a higher level of activity in its service business and a larger volume of sales of the company's software during the fourth quarter of last year. EBITDA before share-based compensation to about $12.8 million. It expects revenue will hit around $159 million.
