FINANCIALFORCE EYING CHANNEL Featured

Johnny Ola, FinancialForce.comSometimes I think the companies with channels don't want them and the ones that don't have them, want them. FinancialForce.com is making noises about a reseller channel. A spokesperson agreed that the phrase "Planning to recruit" is the best way to state this. She continued that the company, whose ERP product is built on the Salesforce platform, is "building new programs to expand our partnerships and alliances. We have quite a few implementation and consulting partners."

It caught my eye with Big Bang ERP, which just signed with NetSuite, mentioned in its Top 100 VAR application that it carries FinancialForce. The most definitive public statement has been published on a company blog in an interview with Johnny Ola, VP of global alliances and business development, who joined the company in February. He said that "My three areas of responsibilities include globally expanding our SI partnerships, strengthening our joint go-to-market partnership with Salesforce, and working closely with ISVs to deliver a best-in-class set of integrated solutions." The words "VAR" and "reseller" do not appear in the interview, but there seems little doubt a reselling channel is in the talking stages. Ola was with BMC Software from April 1998 until September 2014. In his last one year and nine months there, he was general manager for the company's Remedyforce Cloud. He was VP of strategic alliances and corporate business development for almost 14 years.
