AVALARA INTEGRATES WITH QB ONLINE

Avalara's sales-and-use tax application now integrates with Intuit's QuickBooks Online. The link was accomplished via the use of MuleSoft, an integration platform for connecting SaaS and enterprise applications in the cloud and off. Bainbridge Island, Wash.-based Avalara said the integration is instant via CloudHub, MuleSoft's platform.

Holden Spaht, Thoma BravoPrivate equity scores another acquisition in the mid-market as Thoma Bravo is buying Deltek for $1.1 billion. The deal is for $13 a share, which Bloomberg News reported as 7.3 percent less than the August 24 closing price, but 24 percent more than on June 11, the day before the company confidentially shared information with potential buyers. The word "apparently" should be inserted here because although www.skyytek.com takes a visitor to the Tactics website, there is nothing that explains the different name. ARMANINO BUYS ACCESSTEK

Armanino McKenna has acquired AccessTek, a Naperville, Ill.-based reseller. The goal is to expand the Intacct practice of the San Ramon, Calif.-based accounting firm. AccessTek, which took on the Internet-based accounting application in 2010, was Intacct's Partner of the Year last year. It is headed by Lindy Antonelli, who joins Armanino on September 1 as a partner, along with her six employees.

In a pre-mortem - in the words of "Monty Python and the Holy Grail", "I'm not dead yet" - and not a post mortem, the company said that "By the end of May, Qurius was in such a shape that the cash position of the other operating companies was not enough to support Qurius Germany."
