intacct_bannerIt's not clear that Intuit and Intacct have changed the relationship in which QuickBooks grads are being steered to Intacct. Intuit had previously described the relationship as a test. But the language in the last week, at least, is suggesting a stronger tie. Intuit is now showing the following: "Intuit recommends Intacct for companies stretching beyond QuickBooks."

The Denmark-based Dynamics reseller has thankfully ditched the last two parts of its name in favor of simply calling itself Columbus. It was moving this direction over at least a few weeks as it was showing both the historical www.columbusit.com and the newer www.columbusglobal.com websites.

FOUR MORE YEARS: (OF DYNAMICS GP)

dynamics logo newThe fact that Microsoft has provided a revised statement of direction for Dynamics GP is a bit of news. And the plan takes GP through 2016, meaning presumably that it will be around for the next set of Iowa caucuses, which is more than we can say for most of the candidates. There's not much information to be provided here since I don't have access to Customersource or PartnerSource to access the document. However, the statement has information about GP 2010 R2 and the upcoming release of what is generally termed Dynamics GP "12". Read more...

MAINTENANCE-INDUCTED OUTAGE HITS INTUIT AGAIN

Unplugged artIntuit had another web outage due this week. On its Intuit Proline Facebook page, the company reported on Thursday that "We're sorry to report that due to our planned maintenance last night, some of our web pages are still unavailable." By my count, this is the third time in about 18 months that maintenance has knocked something off line. I must have gotten in on the tail end of this because yesterday I tried to reach www.intuit.com and got a message that the page was not available with the headline "It's not you, it's us."
