However, if the campaign didn't belong to Geico, you'd think about the only thing missing from the Microsoft spiel is a couple of guys with bushy eyebrows and a Cockney-speaking Gecko. EPICOR RAISES PROFIT ESTIMATE

Epicor logoIRVINE, Calif.  - Epicor Software has raised its estimate of profit for the third quarter ended September 30, although it kept its previous revenue projections. The vendor now expects adjusted net income to exceed the 9 cent to 10 cents per share it forecast in July, while its expectation for revenue of $96 million to $100 million remained unchanged. The company did not say why it was raising its forecast.

Intuit has made its annual roll out of QuickBooks with QB 2010 hitting the market this week. There was no mention of QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions, although it seems likely any news on that product will be delivered next week at the company's reseller gathering in Chicago.

PERVASIVE UPS GUIDANCE

Pervasive Software has told Wall Street to expect higher revenue and earnings than it had previously forecast for its September quarter. On July 21, the company said it expected revenue to range from $10.5 million to $11.5 million. Yesterday, it increased that to a window of $11.9 million to $12.2 million in sales.
