BLACKBAUD ADDS GLOBAL SALES SPOT

Patrick Hodges, BlackbaudBlackbaud signaled plans for worldwide growth with the promotion this month of Patrick Hodges as SVP global sales. Hodges, who joined the company in 2001, was previously VP of sales and was named to the senior leadership team, reporting to CEO Mike Gianoni.

BLACKBAUD CEO EARNED $5.7M IN 2016

Mike Gianoni, Blackbaud Blackbaud CEO Mike Gianoni was paid $5.7 million for the year ended 2016, largely from a stock award of $4.4 million. That was well beneath the $11.5 million he received in 2015—his first complete year with the nonprofit software vendor—also largely from a stock award, in that case of $10.1 million.

ORACLE PLANS NETSUITE EXPANSION

Jim McGeever, Oracle NetSuiteOracle plans a significant expansion for what it calls the Oracle NetSuite Global Business Unit. The company plans to double the number of data centers globally to 11 from five. This includes adding a fourth North American Data Center in the Chicago, Ill., area.

Steve Jones, Explore Consulting Explore Consulting will take over Bi101 starting next month. Explore, a NetSuite reseller based in Bellevue, Wash., said it will leverage some key NetSuite resources from Bi101 based in Livermore, Calif. The combination, they said, will enable them to offer a broadened set of service offerings.

Mark Hurd, OracleNetSuite Oracle has established a boundary to delineate the target markets for the company's channel and direct sales force. The threshold outlined during this week's partner kickoff at NetSuite SuiteWorld was 1,500 employees. Below that, it's the field of NetSuite and its VARs; above that the territory the Oracle direct sales force.

KENNEDY NABS ORACLE CHANNEL JOB

Doug Kennedy, OracleDoug Kennedy has done well with his career at NetSuite. Kennedy joined the cloud-based company in May 2015 as VP of global systems integrators. He made the cut after Oracle acquired NetSuite in July and in March became VP of business development and partner strategy for Oracle's Marketing Cloud Division.
