BILL.COM RECEIVES $50 MILLION

Renee Lacerte, Bill.comBill.com, which markets invoicing services, has closed a $50-million financing round. The company intends to use the proceeds to fuel growth on the heels of doubling its business in the last 12 months. The latest infusion of capital brings the amount it has raised to more than $100 million. Funds came from Silicon Valley Bank, which joined existing investors DCM Ventures, Scale Venture Partners, August Capital, Napier Park Global Capital, American Express Ventures and Commerce Ventures.

AUSTRALIA'S RECKON EYES EXPANSION

Clive Rabie, ReckonAustralia-based Reckon, one of the online accounting pack, saw a 3-percent decrease in net earnings for the year ended December 31 on a 3-percent rise in revenue. On the glass half-full side, non-IFRS basis earnings were up 5 percent. Either way you look at it, the bottom line was about $20 million as the difference between non-IFRS and IFRS was in the 2013 results.

TOUR DE FORCE STARTS CHANNEL

Ken Ledyard, Tour de Force Tour de Force, which markets a variety of non-financial software products, has launched a channel program. The effort is being managed by channel sales director Ken Ledyard, a veteran of Sage and Dynamics reseller Socius. Tour de Force sells CRM and business intelligence software. Ledyard, who was hired in January, says the company has integration with more than 40 ERP products.

JEEVES KILLS SWEDISH CHANNEL

Daniel Gröhlin, Jeeves Information SystemsJeeves Information Systems is abandoning its channel in Sweden. The company announced this week it will not renew any agreements with companies that sell, service and support its ERP product in Sweden. That came after its annual channel partner analysis. I might be reading too much into this, but I'm not surprised. The parent company's CEO is Austin, Texas-based Jeff Tognoni, who took his position after Battery Ventures acquired Jeeves

UNIT4 EYES PARTNER PROGRAM

Art Brault, Unit4Unit4, which has previously been sold only direct in North America, is considering a partner program on this continent. "We are looking at building a partner program for the North American market," Unit4 marketing communications manager Maggie Kerr-Southin said this week. Her comment came in response to a question about a corporate statement last month attached to a brief description of results for 2014.

INFOR HANDS OUT CHANNEL AWARDS

Aaron Johnson, Guide TechnologiesInfor presented a number of awards to channel members this week at its Americas Partner Summit. The software vendor's awards went to those involved with its wide-ranging product line with Smart Solutions International named the Office of the CFO Partner of the Year. The Boca Raton, Fla.-based company carries Infor's SmartStream, SunSystems and Performance Management products.

EXACT U.S. APPS DO WELL LAST YEAR

Erik van der Meijden, ExactExact, on the brink of going private, wound up 2014 with a good performance in its Specialized Solutions, manufacturing packages the Netherlands-based company sells in the United States. "We had a very good year," CEO Erik van der Meijden said during this weeks' earnings webcast for the year ended December 31. The company said the U.S. products, Macola, JobBoss and Exact, had a good year.

DELTEK INTROS NEW CRM

 Namita Dhallan, DeltekDeltek has launched Ajera CRM, a new iteration of the product category for small and medium-sized architectural and engineering firms. The software integrates with Deltek Ajera, the accounting and project management application for those firms. Ajera CRM acts as a central repository for corporate information and sales activities. The company says the platform enables easy execution of marketing campaigns and streamlining proposal development.

INFOR TO SKIP INFORUM THIS YEAR

Chip Coyle, InforInfor is not conducting its Inforum conference in 2015. Instead, the software vendor is planning a series of Infor days at four different cities in the United States this year. It will return to holding Inforum on July through 13 in New York City in 2016. Chief marketing officer Chip Coyle told attendees at the Infor America Partner Summit in San Antonio that Infor days will focus heavily on training.
