SAP EXEC: CLOUD CLARITY NEEDED

CEO PARKER LEAVING DELTEK

Kevin Parker, DeltekKevin Parker is leaving Deltek after seven years as CEO on Friday, December 7.  Mike Corkery, CFO of the software company, will serve as acting CEO. We were told that the private equity investment firm Thoma Bravo, which bought the company in October, tends to buy companies with management it likes.

ACUMATICA MOVES HQ TO WASHINGTON

Yury Larichev, AcumaticaAcumatica has relocated its headquarters from Bethesda, Md., to Kirkland, Wash. The vendor says the new office will be open on December 3. COO Yury Larichev says the move is designed to give the company access to the talent pool in Washington to support plans to double channel partner sales, pre-sales consulting and other operational areas next year. He said it would also enable Acumatica to develop strong channel partner support on the West Coast. Microsoft’s cloud platform,” added Larichev. Justin Singer, The Rand GroupThe Rand Group, a Houston, Texas-based Dynamics reseller, has picked up assets and employees of SMBology. Founded in 2003, SMBology has described itself as offering strategic consulting, user experience design, and application development. In its announcement, Rand emphasized the expansion of services by adding a suite of business applications and custom business intelligence dashboards based on Microsoft Sharepoint.

XERO GETS $49M IN U.S.MONEY

Jamie Sutherland, XeroNew Zealand-based cloud vendor Xero has raised $49 million in capital from its existing investors. Valar Ventures and Matrix Capital Management placed $49 million and also purchased $18 million in shares from Xero’s three largest shareholders.

NETSUITE SIGNS SAGE U.K. DEVELOPER

EXACT NAMES CLOUD HEAD

Hartmut Wagner, ExactExact has named an executive to run its new Cloud Solutions division, filling the last major open position in the company's reorganization this year.  Hartmut Wagner will start his new job on January 7 and will become a member of the board of managing directors in May. Previously, Wagner was director of Hewlett-Packard's information management software business in EMEA.
