FreshBooks Payroll, designed for businesses in the United States, automatically records all payroll transactions in FreshBooks. Payroll is an add on with additional usage fees. The Payroll Add-on for W-2 employees is billed monthly or yearly with a FreshBooks subscription. Usage bis billed separately on the second of each calendar month and lists usage charges for the prior month. The system currently supports four-day ACH with all pay runs needing to be processed four days prior to the payout date. For two-day ACH direct deposit, businesses can use the Gusto app instead. The method is also available for contractor payments, employee benefits and Worker's Compensation contributions, paid time off, and withholding State taxes in States the business is not registered in.
