EPICOR INTROS KINETIC DESIGN Featured

Lee An Schommer, EpicorEpicor has introduced Kinetic Design, which provides a framework with a set of standards for the way applications appear on different computing devices. At this week’s Insights conference, Lee An Schommer, SVP of global product management, said Kinetic “is our design standards for building applications.”

The Kinetic Framework, she continued “is the code embodiment of Epicor Kinetic Design” As demonstrated on the show floor, Kinetic is a responsive design environment which provides Epicor’s applications the ability to have a similar look and feel on desktop computers, notebooks, tablets and smartphones. It also has flexibility in changing the look of screens and having those changes populated on displays of all supported devices. Kinetic design spells out style, including colors and shapes utilized. “It tells you what pages to use and where you should use them,” Schommer said. The system will eventually provide users the ability to leave one device and resume work at the same point on another device, but the capability is not yet available.
