QAD plans to expand the sale of its software through a partner channel. CEO Anton Chilton said during the recent webcast for earnings for the company’s third quarter ended October 31.

Chilton said QAD will expand its channel for both services, which has been its primarily indirect effort, and sales. In addition, QAD expects to hire a manager to run the channel. “We will be bringing in somebody who will that is going to be helping us expand sales channel through partners,” he said. That includes bringing in new partners and expanding sales through existing ones. Chilton also said that recruiting effort has become more important in “particular with the launch of Adaptive ERP and the enterprise platform.” QAD is increasing its focus on cloud sales as customers and prospects are rapidly moving from on-premise software to the cloud. “The sales forces is entirely focused on cloud,” Chilton said.
