PERKINS NAMED SAGE COO Featured

Lee Perkins has been named to the newly created position of chief operating officer for Sage. He has responsibility for Sage operations in all regions and its product teams.

The announcement marks a continuation of a remake of the executive team under CEO Steve Hare.  In June, the company hired Cath Meers as chief marketing officer, replacing Ron McMurtrie, who had held the position since October 2017. Blair Crump left his role as president on March 31, making him the first and only person to hold that position, which is not being refilled. Nick Goode department his position as VP of Sage X3 in March. There has been some suggestion that Hare is jettisoning people associated with former CEO Steve Kelly.  Perkins joined Sage in 2011 and was managing director for the United Kingdom and Ireland until April 2016 when he left the company. He returned in February 2018 as interim managing director for the same region and held various executive produce positions, serving chief commercial and product officer from February. In between his Sage tenures, Perkins was CEO of Metronet UK. As someone pointed out, Jim Emerick, EVP of customers success and services, vanished from the leadership page on the Sage website this year. His LinkedIn profile is also currently unavailable. Sage has updated the page to include Meers and Perkins new title so you have to assume there is a reason Emerick's picture and bio are no longer on that page.
