SCHAKNOWSKI LEAVING INTUIT

BJ SchaknowskiBJ Schaknowski, who has headed Intuit's channel program, is leaving the company to assume a similar role with CA Technologies, the company once known as Computer Associates. In the last two weeks, I had an exchange about the difficulty in finding the Intuit Solution Provider program on the company's website, but was assured that the company is committed to the channel. But having trouble finding a program on a website is not a terribly strong signal of commitment, in my opinion.
Schaknowski had been in the Intuit channel program with two different titles as the program had changed. Schaknowski's boss, Keith Reed, vice president of indirect channels will handle his responsibilities until a replacement is named. Another ex-Intuiter told me in the last two months that the company's QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions application had gone from being a mid-market package to being one that sits on top of the QB Pro line. We certainly haven't seen the promised modules that would have differentiated QBES from Pro. I think that Intuit is generally happy with the direct sales results.
