SAGE STARTS HYBRID CLOUD WITH 300

Guy Berruyer, SageSage is rolling out its hybrid cloud products this year with Sage 200 being tested in the United Kingdom. The plan is to follow with Sage 100 in France with Sage 300 (Accpac) moving into the hybrid cloud in the United States by the end of the year. That rough schedule was outlined by the company's chief executive Guy Berruyer during the company's recent earnings webcast.

Berruyer did not provide a great deal of detail about the plans. He noted that Sage is building on the Azure platform, "The hard work around building the platform for Microsoft Azure is done and the launch rate accelerates from that," he said. Having accomplished that, the company can create different interfaces for phones and tablets. As the cloud platform advances, it is anticipated that the number of users of Sage products will significantly increase as they typically double at each customer company when the cloud is used, Berruyer commented.
