GoDaddyGoDaddy, known for its web platform business, has acquired online company Ronin, which made invoicing applications. This deal was done in April but not announced until this month. Together, the products are part of GoDaddy Online Bookkeeping.

Have to ask them if there's any intention to join the low-end online accounting fray. Online Bookkeeping, priced at $9.95 per month, features sales and expense tracking and imports and organizes them into IRS categories. It provides an Annual Income and Expense Summary and pre-populates a Schedule C worksheet. The system automatically calculates estimated tax and tracks sales tax that has been collected. The Ronin deal is the fifth buy by GoDaddy in 15 months. The other three acquired companies were M.dot, Locu and Afternic.
