UNIT4 NAMES CTO Featured

Unit4 has named Erik Tiden as chief technology officer. Tiden was previously GM for the global Microsoft Dynamics' cloud and on-premise business for small and medium-sized businesses from September 2012 through May 2015. Before that, he was VP of engineering, business solutions at Hewlett Packard from July 2011 through August 2012. He held several executive positions earlier at SAP where he worked for slightly more than 10 years. His last position there was as SVP and global head of custom development.

Unit4 notes that in 2014 it committed to doubling R&D capacity. This year, Unit4 renamed its two product lines. Agresso became Unit4 Business World and Coda was branded as Unit4 Financials. The two software lines were also placed on the new People Platform, which the company positions as the foundation for all business applications. Unit4 describes Tiden's job as being "responsible for implementing Unit4's product vision across the full product lifecycle compaction rising product management, application architecture, and research and development for all Unit4 solutions."
