MARKETING VP HUNGERFORD OUT AT NETSUITE Featured

Amede Hungerford, NetSuiteAmede Hungerford has left NetSuite where he has served as VP of global marketing since June 2010. The company confirmed his departure and the hiring of Roger Heaston as his replacement. A spokesperson commented that "Amede was a critical part of working with our partners to get NetSuite to scale and success we've achieved and we thank him. But as we looked at our next growth strategy, it became clear that we needed to build an ecosystem on our platform, requiring some new thinking and more technical expertise."

Heaston served from  2007 to July 2015 as chief technology officer with PlaceWise Media, which is based in the Denver, Colo., area. His CTO experience was cited as a reason for his hiring.  Perhaps we are starting to see the impact of Jim McGeever becoming president of the company in June. McGeever had been COO since 2010 and before that was CFO of the cloud software company from 2000 through 2010. One software industry source simply said there would be "more changes ahead." NetSuite has been pretty stable with Zach Nelson as CEO since 2003. Nelson held the president's title until handing it off to McGeever. There has been an influx of new talent with Microsoft exec Doug Kennedy joining as VP of global systems integrators in May and Fred Studer, coming over from Microsoft to become chief marketing officer, in December.
