Trent Innis, XeroXero, which publishes cloud-based software for small businesses, has named new managing directors for New Zealand and Australia. The two countries are the New Zealand company's biggest markets with Australia taking over No. 1 from the home country in the last two years. Anna Curzon became New Zealand managing director at the end of 2015 when Victoria Crone resigned to run for mayor of Auckland. Xero also said Trent Innis will replace Chris Ridd, who led the Aussie business for five years.

Ridd will continue at Xero as an advisor through the completion of the fiscal year, which ends on March 31. Curzon was most recently GM of Digital First at Spark and before that was GM of Internet Banking at ASB. Innis spent nearly three years as Xero's national sales director in Australia. A CPA, Innis was national sales manager of the Microsoft Business Group in Australia, handling the ERP and CRM business. Xero also has formally announced the hiring of Doug LaBahn as Xero's VP of partner and product marketing, based in the San Francisco, Calif. LaBahn, whose appointment seeped out last month when he changed his LinkedIn profile, was with Sage from January 2012, but had moved into the high-profile position of global VP of product marketing for Sage Live in February 2015.
