MYOB Advanced is built on the Acumatica engine. Duffy was VP of partner strategy and enablement and product evangelist for Acumatica from April 2014 through September 2015. Before that he was with SAP from August 2003 through March 2014. Duffy, who left for family reasons, was replaced by Ali Jani.

Richard Duffy, who was an Acumatica VP for 18 months, has started a new business in Sydney, Australia. Duffy's LinkedIn profile shows that this month he became CEO of SMB Solutions, which is designed to provide marketing consulting services for those involved with products such as SAP Business One, Acumatica and MYOB Advanced.
