XERO SHAKES UP EXECUTIVE RANKS Featured

Keri Gohman, XeroXero will have its third head of American operations in two years when Keri Gohman takes over as president of the Americas in December. Gohman replaces Russell Fujioka, who was been with the cloud software company, since February 2015. Meanwhile, chief marketing and revenue officer Andy Lark, based in Australia, is also leaving after two years and two months in his job.

Xero is also moving its North American continent from San Francisco, Calif., to Denver Colo. Fujioka was hired after Peter Karpas served as CEO of Xero's North American operations from February to September 2014, but the company did not name him as CEO. Gohman, who has been with Capital One since 2008, was most recently EVP of the banking division of Capital One Small Business, since July 2013. Besides the personnel changes, Xero said country managers will now report to Drury. In an interview with New Zealand website, Stuff, Xero CEO Rod Drury denied the management changes were unusual, Xero also said the change signaled a flatter organizational structure. Lark's replacement will be chief marketing officer, focusing on global brand and marketing communications, but will lose the title of revenue officer. The move appeared to concentrate more power under CFO Sankar Narayan. Two executives hired in March, chief people officer Rachel Powell and chief accounting officer Kirsty Godfrey-Billy report to Narayan, who joined the company a year ago.
