EDGEWATER CEO SINGLETON REPLACED Featured

Shirley Singleton, Edgewater TechnologyAn investment group that pledged to oust Shirley Singleton, CEO of Edgewater Technology, has kept its promise. The board of directors has named one of its members, Jeffrey L. Rutherford, as chairman, interim president and CEO. An investor group, which had vowed to replace Singleton and the company's chief technology officer David Clancey, won a proxy fight in February.

It ousted four members of the board and replaced them with Ancora nominees. Singleton co-founded the company in 1992, which later purchased the Fullscope reselling business. The other major arm is the Ranzel Oracle operation. Her Linkedin page now shows her as managing director of Bluefinbay Advisors. Rutherford served as CFO of the Ferro Corp., a manufacturer of coatings and colors, from April 2012 through September 2016. When it ran its campaign, Ancora said Fullscope and Ranzel ran largely independently and Singleton and Clancy were "dead weight".
