NETSUITE ADDS BLYTHECO, GT, DELOITTE

Steve Blythe, BlythecoNetSuite has announced the four latest - and significant -additions to its channel. As expected, it has added Sage's Blytheco. But it has also signed up Frank, Rimerman Consulting and Grant Thornton. NetSuite's of penetration of accounting firms is starting to outstrip Intacct in terms of size.

NetSuite CEO Zach Nelson, with a his usual hyperbole, termed Frank, Rimerman "one of the largest Great Plains reseller" and I think he said in the world, but it must have been something smaller since that firm is not one of the biggest GP VARs. Nelson also brought Bill Briggs, Deloitte's deputy chief technology officer, to the stage in honor of the relationship. Briggs noted that the Big Four firm has just created Deloitte Digital, which is designed to bring together all of the firm's digital services. Among the Sage resellers present at the NetSuite SuiteWorld conference were Manny Buigas of Axis Global and Doug Deane of DSD Business Solutions. After my initial report, Intacct VP Taylor Macdonald pointed out that except for Grant, his company had deals with the other accounting firms NetSuite had picked up. But I tend to side with NetSuite's view that Intacct is being used more as a writeup tool by accounting firms. And I think NetSuite, already much bigger than Intacct, is not going to see that gap in size lessen much.
