GOLDMINE PARENT GETS NEW EXECS

Bob Corey, FrontRange SolutionsRemember GoldMine, sort of the Blackberry of the CRM world? That means it started out as a leader and faded dramatically. The line's owner, Pleasanton, Calif.-based FrontRange Solutions, has named  Bob Corey as CFO and Udo Waibel as chief technology officer.

That follows the February appointment of Jon Temple as CEO. Before the press release announcing that executive's arrival, Front Range had not had a press release posted since August 9. Temple came over from Nlyte Software, which makes datacenter infrastructure products, and as previously an executive with LiveOps and Hyperion. Corey came over from a role as EVP and  CFO of Extreme Networks.  He was also previously EVP and CFO for Thor Technologies and held the same posts at Documentum Waibel was most recently at Hara, where he was co-founder and CTO and prior to that he spent 14 years at SAP. I don't know why, but I keep hearing a line from a "Chicago" song: "Does anybody really care?"  But it would be cruel to say that.
