ROOTSTOCK NAMES CEO Featured


Rootstock Software has named Richard Berger as a new CEO.

He moves into the position held by interim CEO Jeff Ralyea, who took the role after the prior occupant lasted only 15 months. Ralyea stepped into the interim job after David Stephens served in the top job from August 2022 through November 2023. Stephens, who who had worked for the manufacturing ERP company for 10 years seventh months, had replaced founder and CEO Pat Garrehy who held the job from 2008 through August 2022. Berger held leadership roles at NewStore from December 2020 until taking the new job and was president from July 2021. Before that, he was global VP of sales for Infor, where he worked from September 2015 through December 2019. Before that, he was with Oracle Retail for more than 11 years. Ralyea, who is an executive advisor at AEA Investors, is continuing as executive chairman of the Rootstock board.
