INNER CIRCLE GETS BIGGER

Inner Circle logoIn recent years, Microsoft's Inner Circle has not been a home for the small fry. But usually, there has been at least one ERP VAR with $5 million to $10 million in revenue to make it. Not this year. From a self-serving measurement, seven of  the top 10 of  Bob Scott's Top 100 VARs made the list just announced at the Worldwide Partner Conference.

And 10 of the Top 20 were there. That is out of 50 worldwide. For the first time in years, none of the Interdyn Group of VARs was chosen and the smallest company on my Top 100 was Sunrise Technologies with $17.6 million in annual revenue. The ERP reselling companies with at least some U.S. operations that made Inner Circle were Alfapeople, Armanino McKenna. Columbus, McGladrey, Sikich, Tectura, Tribridge, Western Computer and Wipfli. Also on the list was mcaConnect, an AX reseller that has somehow escaped my attention. The organizations cited here do not include the purely ISV or purely CRM members, those that do not have U.S. operations and some, such as Avanade whose midmarket business cannot be clearly broken out from its Tier 1 and other practices. That big counts was shown by the appearance of Mhance, a British reseller formed in November by the amalgamation of seven reselling organizations. Strong overall performance is also not a factor - witness European Qurius and Prodware which have been hit by the economic woes on that continent.
