"It’s a relatively short sales cycle and we have a lot of customers who don’t yet have CRM," Miller says, describing why Sage believes CRM should be appealing to the ERP crowd. My memory of Sage's financial reports is that the CRM segment has been disappointing and I'm sure the company wants to rectify that. Miller says that there are 10,000 customers for SageCRM and, considering the product's longevity in the market, I am inclined to view that as not a large number. Miller says that company is putting more effort into development to provide more features and functionality. There are no additional financial incentives for picking up the CRM product, at least not at this point.

Sage wants its accounting software resellers to take on SageCRM. Since the company has only 100 CRM-only VARs, it wants to expand its reach, says Tom Miller, VP of channel management for Sage North America.
