VP MILLER LEAVING SAGE

Tom Miller, SageTom Miller, the person most identified with the channel at Sage North America, is leaving on March 31. He joined in June 2009 in what was part of a Microsoft influx into the Sage employee base and has served as VP of channel management. The comments about Miller by Pascal Houillon, CEO of Sage North America, were very generous. "His contributions have been instrumental to the success of Sage, as well as our business partners," Houillon wrote in an organizational announcement.

You know, I was just thinking about a month ago it had been a while since we'd had any prominent people resigning from Sage. Miller came from Microsoft, following Jodi Uecker-Rust, who came to Sage in February 2009 and left in the fall of 2010. She was president of the short-lived Sage Business Solutions and she quickly brought in GP veterans. But when Sage named Guy Berruyer as chief executive of the parent company, that fairly recent reorganization was reorganized and she was gone, along with the division she headed. Miller, one of the nicest guys ever to hold down a channel job, had a pretty tough position in the last couple of years as he had to defend the changes being made.
